The short answer is it depends on the project and the needs of the client. We have been moving more and more towards cost plus work, but on occasion we still contract at a fixed price. Regardless of the format, we always operate on an "open book" policy. Meaning that you will see the real cost of your entire project, including our overhead and profit. Beyond that, we also extend our discounted vendor pricing to our clients. We feel this approach and level of transparency really helps build trust in the relationship from the beginning.
